Prepare for multiple-day outages
We know that a PSPS can have a significant impact on our customers and communities. We will only turn on the power when it safe, so we encourage you to prepare for outages that could last several days. We can help you prepare. Visit Outage Readiness or safetyactioncenter.pge.com for tips.
Learn about the Community Wildfire Safety Program
With the increased wildfire threat our state faces, PG&E is enhancing and expanding our efforts to reduce wildfire risks and keep our customers and communities safe. Apply for the Medical Baseline Program
Do you depend on electricity for your medical needs?
PG&E’s Medical Baseline program provides additional energy at the lowest price for gas and electric customers who are dependent on life-support equipment and/or require special heating or cooling needs for certain medical conditions.
Medical Baseline customers also receive extra outreach during a PSPS, which may include additional notifications, phone calls or a door knock to ensure they're aware and can make preparations to stay safe.
Apply for the Medical Baseline Program online at pge.com/medicalbaseline or by calling 1-800-743-5000.
Learn about backup power
We understand how disruptive it is for our customers to be without power, so we encourage all customers to plan for an emergency and to be prepared for any extended outages due to extreme weather or natural disasters. To help you plan, PG&E provides information about backup power solutions, how to purchase them, and how to operate them safely at pge.com/backuppower.
