To reduce the impacts of planned wildfire safety power outages, we are offering resources to help you prepare and stay safe.
Community Resource Centers
Community Resource Centers are where we provide resources in a safe location during a PSPS. Each center offers:
- ADA-accessible restrooms
- Device charging
- Air conditioning or heating (indoor centers only)
- Bottled water, snacks and other supplies

Medical Baseline Program
If you rely on power for medical needs, you may be eligible to receive help through the Medical Baseline Program. The program includes:
- An additional allotment of energy at the lowest price on your current rate.
- Notifications by call, text and email before a PSPS. If you do not respond, we make more attempts to notify you hourly. Or, we contact you in person until we reach you.

PG&E is not responsible for providing backup power before or during a PSPS. However, qualifying customers may receive:
- No-cost, backup portable batteries
- A generator or portable battery rebate
- A free Backup Power Transfer Meter
- Refrigeration for medication

Safety Action Center
The Safety Action Center features information to help prepare your home, family or business for a potential PSPS. This PG&E site includes:
- Tips for creating an emergency plan
- Emergency preparedness guides and videos
- Emergency kit resources and interactive quizzes

Address Alerts can notify you about a potential PSPS at any address that’s important to you or a loved one. You do not have to have a PG&E account at the address to receive an alert. Address Alerts may be right for you if:
- You want to know about a PSPS at your home, work, school or other important location
- You are a tenant and do not have a PG&E account
- You need to stay informed about a PSPS affecting a friend or loved one
- Multiple members of your household want to be notified

- Wyndham Hotels (La Quinta, Hawthorn Suites, Ramada, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Travelodge)
Vacancy may vary based on season and is not guaranteed. PG&E is not affiliated with these hotels and is not responsible for hotel stays. Accessible hotel stays are available for those who have disabilities and older adults.
The Disability Disaster Access and Resources (DDAR) Program offers support for older adults and people with disabilities. This support is available before, during and after a PSPS. Your local DDAR Center can help with finding accessible hotel stays during a PSPS. We encourage you to reach out to your local center before a PSPS.

To provide support when it’s needed the most, we partner with the California Network of 211s. 211 is a free, confidential, 24/7 service. Get help with creating an emergency plan and finding local:
- Portable backup power resources
- ADA-accessible transportation

Food loss may be a challenge for customers during PSPS. We provide meal replacement options during and after planned safety outages to cover every county likely to be impacted. We partner with:
- Local food banks, to provide meal replacements during a PSPS and up to three days after restoration. Food replacement packages are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Some food banks may have income restrictions.
- Meals on Wheels, to deliver meals for eligible enrolled seniors.
