How is my bill changing?

The format of your energy bill is changing. PG&E is updating its billing system to make your bill easier to read. This will improve your billing experience. You'll notice changes in how your energy usage, charges and program details are presented.

Your rate plan won't change. The programs you're enrolled in won’t be affected. This update is to make your bill easier to understand. Here's what to expect:

  • Improved bill layout. Quickly find key details like usage, charges and program details.
  • Secondary statements phased out. Customers will no longer receive the secondary statements known as the Detail of Bill (DOB). Instead, they'll receive one concise and user-friendly statement that clearly provides all essential charges and breakdowns.
  • No action is required on your part. This update is to make your bill easier to understand. You don't have to do anything.
