We want all customers to have the information they need to stay up to date before, during and after a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event. Find out how to find PSPS resources in your preferred language.
PSPS updates on our alert website
When a PSPS event is announced, our PSPS updates page is refreshed regularly to keep you informed.
- Find estimated power shutoff and restoration times specific to your address.
- View maps showing affected areas.
- Locate Community Resource Centers in areas affected by a PSPS, each offering an ADA-accessible restroom and hand-washing station, Wi-Fi, device charging and other support.
The PSPS alert website is available in these languages: English, Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese.

Go to PSPS updates
If you are a PG&E account holder and we expect your address to be impacted by a PSPS outage, we will send you automated call, text and email alerts starting two days before the shutoff (if possible) and each day until power is restored. Sign in to update your contact information.
Receive PSPS communications in your preferred language
By selecting a specific language as your preference in the Profile section of your account settings, you can automatically receive PSPS notifications in the language selected.

What to do if you receive a PSPS notification in English
If you receive a PSPS text, phone call or email alert in English, there is a way to get the information in other languages. To find out how, follow the steps for the type of notification you received:
Phone call

When you answer the phone, follow these steps:
- Wait to hear the numeric option for your language. Enter that number.
- You'll hear complete details about the PSPS event in your language.
For those who speak a language not listed in the call, wait until you hear the prompt "for all other languages, press star." Then press the "*" key to be connected to a live agent for assistance in 250+ other languages.
Tip: Know the English word for your language so you can tell it to Customer Service, if necessary. Sites like translate.google.com can help you find the English word for your language.
PSPS alert received in a voice message
When you receive a voice message, take this action:
Call the 833-number mentioned at the beginning of the message. This number goes to a live agent for assistance in 250+ other languages.
Tip: Know the English word for your language so you can tell it to Customer Service, if necessary. Sites like translate.google.com can help you find the English word for your language.
Text message
PSPS alert received by text message

1. Click on the link at the end of the text message.
2. You’ll land on PG&E’s alert website, where you can select your preferred language from the menu.

Applicable to these languages: Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese.

- You'll be taken to PG&E's alert website, where you can select your preferred language from the menu, if needed.
PSPS Address Alerts for Non-PG&E Account Holders
Address Alerts can help you stay safe by informing you via call or text about a PSPS event at any address that's important to you.
Such addresses might include your child's school, your parent's home, or a mobile home park or a rental unit where your landlord pays the PG&E bill. These notifications are available in multiple languages. You do not have to have a PG&E account at the address to receive an alert.
