We want all customers to have the information they need to stay up to date before, during and after a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event. Find out how to find PSPS resources in your preferred language.



PSPS updates on our alert website


When a PSPS event is announced, our PSPS updates page is refreshed regularly to keep you informed. You’ll find estimated power shutoff and restoration times specific to your address, and maps showing the affected areas. You’ll also find the locations of Community Resource Centers in areas affected by a PSPS, each offering an ADA-accessible restroom and hand-washing station, Wi-Fi, device charging and other support.


The PSPS alert website is available in these languages: English, Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Hmong, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese.

If you are a PG&E account holder and we expect your address to be impacted by a PSPS outage, we will send you automated call, text and email alerts starting 2 days before the shutoff (if possible) and each day until power is restored. Sign in to update your contact information.



Receive PSPS notifications in your preferred language


Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog or Vietnamese: Select any of these languages as your preference in the Profile section of your account settings. You will automatically receive notifications in the language selected.
Hmong: You may select this language as your preference in the Profile section of your account settings now. However, notifications in Hmong will not be available until 2021. In the meantime, you will receive PSPS notifications in English. Follow the steps below to get assistance in your language.
Arabic, Farsi, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Portuguese, Punjabi or Thai: Setting your preference for these languages in the Profile section of your account settings will not be available until 2021. In the meantime, you will receive PSPS notifications in English. Follow the steps below to get assistance in your language.

What to do if you receive a PSPS notification in English


If you receive a PSPS text, phone call or email alert in English, there is a way to get the information in other languages. To find out how, follow the steps for the type of notification you received:
