Where to apply
For any projects that do not fall into one of the categories below, start your application through Your Projects.
Projects that do not require a Your Projects application:
Standby requests:
Project types include:
- Broken meter seal
- Tighten low hanging line
- Change or add customer information
- Backup power transfer meter
For standby requests, call 1-800-743-5000.
- Callers will be routed to the PG&E Peggy Bot, which will ask for the reason for their call (e.g., "I have a broken meter seal").
- Peggy will either provide the requested support directly or transfer the caller to the appropriate party for further assistance.
Building & Renovation Services:
Residential project types include:
- Disconnect/Reconnect for panel maintenance only (i.e., replacing a breaker, buss bar repair, burnt wire, etc.)
- Disconnect/Reconnect to repair/replace the weatherhead
- Disconnect/Reconnect for tree trimming only (service drop only)
- Disconnect/Reconnect for projects with no electrical work but possible proximity to electrical equipment (i.e., replacing house siding, painting, etc.)
- Temporary Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) reconnect on the existing panel only
Note: If the service crosses the street, is 400amps or above, affects multiple services, or there is a previous Field Order saying a crew is required, then a Your Projects application is required.

How to apply
You can apply anytime and check your status online. After you apply, you will receive an email with next steps. A PG&E representative will contact you to go over the project details.
Start your application through Your Projects.
Your PG&E representative will contact you within three (3) business days after you submit your application. They will discuss the project details with you.
What to expect during application review and approval process:
- Review of your application by PG&E
- Request for missing information requested (if needed)
- Updates to your application after review
- Approval of your application
- Confirmation email with your approval
PG&E will send you an Engineering Advance (EA) invoice withing five (5) days after you apply. Pay the EA Invoice within 30 days to keep your application active.
How to pay your EA invoice online
- Sign in to Your Projects
- Go to Outstanding Actions, then Outstanding Invoices
- Choose the project with the invoice
- Select Pay invoice
- Enter your bank routing number and account number
- Select Confirm and Submit
Application cancellation checklist
To keep your application active, make sure you complete all the steps below on time:
- Pay the Engineering Advance (EA)
- Submit all requested information and documents
- Complete both steps within 35 calendar days of submitting your application
Important:
- You'll receive a reminder email from Your Projects on day 25 if anything is still missing
- If the EA, information or documents are not received by day 35, your application will be cancelled.
- If your application is cancelled, you'll receive a final notification email from Your Projects on day 36.
