Lower your bill through the CARE Program

Qualified households receive deep discounts on their energy bills through the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) Program. Eligibility is based on public assistance program participation, or on the number of individuals in your household and total gross household income.

Get help making energy-saving improvements

Participants in the CARE program may also qualify for the Energy Savings Assistance program. If you live in a house, apartment or mobile home that is five years or older, you could receive free improvements to make your home more energy efficient, safe and comfortable. Both renters and owners are eligible.
