Work in Napa County
PG&E will be conducting wildfire safety work near you. This includes moving some powerlines underground. It could also include system upgrades such as installing strengthened poles and covered powerlines above ground.
In 2025, we plan to complete 47 miles of undergrounding and 15 miles of system upgrades in Napa County.
Through the end of 2024, we completed 5 total miles of undergrounding and 81 total miles of overhead system upgrades.

Upcoming Traffic Controls in Napa County
In your area, you may see PG&E trucks along with certified contractors working to complete important wildfire safety work. Most work will take place during normal business hours Monday through Saturday.

What to expect:
- PG&E representatives working to install and energize upgraded powerlines.
- Your power may need to be turned off for a short time to complete this work safely.
View traffic control measures in your area.
What to expect:
- Crews working to restore the area.
- Crews removing any remaining construction equipment or materials.
- The timing of final restoration may change depending on the schedules of nearby projects and weather impacts. We will monitor temporary repairs for safety and return to complete final repairs when temperatures are high enough to install new asphalt safely.
View the status of road restoration in your area.
* Phases 1 through 3 may take 1 to 18 months. Phases 4 and 5 may take 2 to 3 months each. Trimming or cutting down trees and shrubs may continue through the entire project from Phase 3 forward.
| You may see our crews, contractor vehicles and large equipment in the area throughout this process. Crews may need to access your property and will coordinate with you in advance. All personnel are happy to provide photo ID. |
