Match My Payment Program

In 2026, PG&E committed an additional $50 million to extend bill assistance programs, including PG&E REACH and Match My Payment. In 2025, these PG&E programs helped nearly 64,000 customers manage past-due energy bills.

PG&E created the Match My Payment Program to support low‑ and moderate‑income households with incomes up to 400 percent of the federal poverty level. The program matched customer payments dollar for dollar toward past‑due energy bills and helped customers avoid service disconnections.

As of September 2026, PG&E matched more than $25 million in customer payments through the Match My Payment Program.

Many eligible customers received multiple matches throughout the year, up to a total maximum benefit amount of $1,000.

*To qualify, household income must be below 400 percent of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) guidelines. Income should be before taxes and based on current income sources. Valid through May 31, 2027.
