PG&E Returns to Community for Feedback on Proposed Bakersfield-Area Infrastructure Project

Bakersfield, Calif. — Delivering safe and reliable electric service is a top priority for Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). Bakersfield Power Connect, a proposed new electric infrastructure project, will do just that. After introducing the project last fall, PG&E will now return to the community for a second round of open houses to seek additional input on potential project locations and design options.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (PG&E) is pleased to have been selected by the California Independent System Operator Corporation (CAISO) to build, own and operate two new electric substations in California's Central Valley and South Bay.

PG&E Seeks Public Feedback on Proposed Infrastructure Project

Bakersfield, Calif. — Pacific Gas and Electric Company is holding several public open houses to introduce and encourage feedback on a proposed electric transmission project. The Bakersfield Power Connect project includes a new substation, enhancements to existing substations and transmission line upgrades. The project will enhance future electric reliability and capacity for more than 100,000 customers in Bakersfield and surrounding Kern County communities.
