Residential customers can access their energy usage data through a variety of programs and tools. The programs are designed to share your data with third parties, but only after you grant authorization.

Share My Data

Electric and gas meter interval data, customer data, billing data

Automatically share ongoing account, usage or billing data with an authorized business of their choice, or receive data themselves.

One-time authorization through Your Account to allow ongoing access to a registered third party of your choice. Data is transferred through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), securely and automatically.

Form 79-1095: Authorization to Receive Customer Information or Act Upon a Customer's Behalf

Electric and gas usage data, customer data, billing, payment and credit history, start and stop of service

Authorize a friend or family member to manage their PG&E account, including making payments and requesting start or stop of service.

Use a paper-based form to authorize an individual or a third party company, such as an energy management consultant, to access their billing and usage information.

Customers choose the level of access they authorize for the third party to manage.

Paper-based requests for usage or billing data is provided by encrypted email or U.S. Postal Service upon request.

Electric and gas usage data

Use a paper-based form to authorize third parties to access their gas or electric usage data.

Requests are fulfilled upon request by encrypted email or U.S. Postal Service, as designated by customer on the form.
