The Helms Pumped Storage Plant sits a mile underground and generates 1,200 megawatts of clean power by releasing water from a higher elevation reservoir to a lower one. Rob Sharette has been there since the day it was commissioned and has faithfully served as the plant's janitor for more than four decades.
