Construction is underway on PG&E’s new Momentum Substation in Placer County, powering fast-growing Sierra foothill communities. The substation will strengthen the grid, improve electric reliability and support more than 5,600 homes, businesses, schools and the town center in the new Placer One development. Says William Duncan, Sierra College president, “PG&E being at the table with us — it’s the only reason why things like this happen.”
