Agriculture Power Shift: PG&E Highlights 'Electrification on the Farm' at 2025 World Ag Expo

Date: February 05, 2025

TULARE — With a focus on shaping tomorrow’s agriculture today, PG&E will focus on energy advancements in farming at the 2025 World Ag Expo from Feb. 11-13.

With the theme of “Electrification on the Farm,” PG&E’s booth (AB19) will have live demos and serve as a resource hub for programs to meet growers' energy needs.

“We are passionate about supporting our ag customers, and this event helps us share the benefits of farm electrification,” said Christine Forster, PG&E manager of Ag/Food Processing. “It's a chance to improve the customer experience and demonstrate our commitment to safety and protecting the planet."

Dubbed “The Best Farm Show on Dirt,” the expo attracts nearly 100,000 attendees a year. It provides a forum for networking, education, and business in one of the country's busiest farming hubs. Over 1,200 exhibitors will highlight innovative technology and equipment across 2.6 million square feet.

PG&E's coworkers connect with nearly 40,000 livestock producers, farmers, ranchers, and agribusiness customers at the three-day event. Farming contributes nearly $60 billion to the state's economy, and this event plays an important role in helping growers find energy-saving and cost-effective solutions.

PG&E and Southern California Gas Company will co-host a 30-minute seminar on Feb. 11, “Let’s Get Connected,” focused on renewable natural gas and how farmers can benefit by connecting with their local gas utility.

In the session, Eric Larson, PG&E Gas Interconnection manager, and Eric Kroh, Southern California Gas Company project manager, will explain the benefits of renewable natural gas, how to get started and answer audience questions.

Visitors can meet with energy advisors who can educate customers on ways to reduce energy costs, save money and improve operations. They can also explore hands-on exhibits and gas and electric safety demos.

PG&E invites customers and stakeholders to visit booth AB19 at the World Ag Expo and learn more about how it is redefining agriculture from farm to grid.
