SSHAC Level-3 Project for Diablo Canyon Power Plant

Access reports from the evaluation process

Overview

The Senior Seismic Hazard Analysis Committee (SSHAC) Level-3 process is a robust, well-documented analysis of the DCPP power plant. It is a review to identify hazards. The information is for use in Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis. An expert team reviews the complete range of data and models. The peer review panel oversees and documents this process and develops the final hazard assessment.

Seismic Source Characterization Reports

This 4-year project evaluates seismic sources and potential ground motions affecting the DCPP site. This effort involved numerous expert seismologists, geologists and engineers. The evaluation is crucial for ensuring the plant's continued safe operation. It ensures compliance with the latest advancements in seismic science and regulatory standards.

Below is the list of reports documented during this project. Workshop video and presentations are available by request.
