Savings Finder Tool Expands Support to Small Business Customers

Over the years, I’ve watched family and friends navigate the grit and grace it takes to build and run a small business. From inventory and staffing to budgeting and customer service, it’s a constant balancing act that rarely offers a moment to spare. And whether it’s a coffee shop, a clothing store or a tech startup, energy expenses are part of their operating costs. 

 

That’s why I was excited to learn about recent upgrades to PG&E’s Savings Finder tool that are designed to help business owners cut costs and manage their energy expenses more effectively. 

 

Launched online in the spring, the free, self-serve tool was recently enhanced to ensure small business customers benefit from the same personalized support and recommendations as residential users. By answering a series of short questions, business owners receive customized help including:

 

  • Educational resources 

  • Money-saving programs that match your business profile

  • Connect with Small Business Account Representatives

  • Bill management tools

  • Access to rebates and incentives

  • These include opportunities to upgrade to energy-efficient equipment (HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, water heating) or no-cost installations

 

The tool also:

 

  • Prioritizes options based on business type, payment history, financial status, and energy usage

  • Offers repeat use without storing personal data, so businesses can use the tool again if circumstances change

  • Can be accessed through pge.com on the following pages: 

 

With just a few clicks, I’m hopeful the tailored solutions will help customers save time, money, and mental bandwidth.
