As a convenience to customers, PG&E provides billing services to third-party companies. These companies offer home repair, energy or safety-related products or services.

Billing arrangement with HomeServe

 

HomeServe is a third-party company for whom PG&E provides billing services. They are an administrator of home protection plans that are:

  • An optional purchase for PG&E customers
  • Administered by HomeServe and issued by AMT Home Protection Company
  • Paid through the participating customer’s monthly PG&E bill

important notice icon Note:  These optional home protection plans are not provided by PG&E. It is your decision whether any are right for you based on your own needs and circumstances. Purchasing a plan from HomeServe does not affect your current level of gas or electric service from PG&E. 

 

HomeServe charges on your PG&E energy statement

If you choose to enroll in a home protection plan from HomeServe, it may take up to two months for those charges to appear on your PG&E statement.

PG&E is paid a fee by HomeServe for providing billing and remittance processing services related to optional home protection plans. Most of this fee is used to lower rates, keeping the prices customers pay lower than they otherwise would be.

PG&E will not be held liable in connection with any of HomeServe’s or AMT Home Protection Company’s activities. Without limiting the foregoing, PG&E does not represent or warrant the accuracy or reliability of any of the:

  • information, content or advertisements contained on, distributed through, or referenced in any mailing, or
  • other communication you receive from anyone other than PG&E.

HomeServe is not regulated by the California Public Utilities Commission and is not an affiliate of PG&E. HomeServe NA Insurance Services ("HomeServe") also does business as "HomeServe USA Repair Management Corp." The company operates under California License #0F79326. PG&E conducts a formal process to select third-party companies that provide energy-related or home-repair products or services. If your company is interested in participating in this billing service, email the Product Manager at thirdpartyvendorservices@pge.com.
