Energy Watch Partnerships
The benefit of local partnerships
Government-Owned-and-Operated Facilities
PG&E’s Energy Watch Partnerships create a close-working relationship with local governments to help them develop and implement energy management plans so that they can achieve objectives related to sustainability and climate change. PG&E provides incentives, tools and technical assistance that support and empower our partners in their efforts. Not only does Energy Watch help reduce costs, it also demonstrates to constituents and communities a strong commitment to energy efficiency.
Delivery Channel to the Community
Energy Watch Partnerships provide centralized access to PG&E's wide array of energy-efficiency programs serving small businesses. Most partnerships work directly with the community to provide energy analyses to small business customers. Qualifying customers may also receive the installation of energy-efficient equipment.
Partnerships also provide energy workshops and classes designed specifically for local businesses. Through these free training opportunities, customers can learn new ways to reduce their energy bills and become more energy efficient.
Community Leadership
By partnering with PG&E, organizations demonstrate their commitment to producing measurable results. Local agencies that lead by example can also motivate their communities to act. Additionally, many Energy Watch Partnerships strive to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase renewable energy usage and protect air quality, while creating jobs and a more sustainable community.
Services to save energy
Services typically offered through Energy Watch Partnerships include:
- Energy-efficiency audits, retrofits and retrocommissioning of existing municipal buildings
- Energy-efficiency design assistance for new municipal buildings
- Specialized energy-efficiency marketing and outreach to local communities
- Installation of energy-efficiency equipment for small businesses
- Tools for greenhouse gas-reduction planning
- Local energy-efficiency seminars
- Vendor and subcontractor training and education
By developing an infrastructure that is more closely linked to the future needs of customers and communities, the Energy Watch Partnerships will help cities, counties, agencies and PG&E to achieve more together than we could alone.
