Ice cream truck at the event

Come to this fun family event in July!

Saturday, July 29, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
PG&E Livermore Training Center
7205 National Drive
Livermore, CA

Join us in July to view some of the world’s most talented Linemen and Apprentice Linemen show their skills. They’ll climb poles, work with live-line tools and perform a simulated rescue. Safety is the most important factor for each event. Linemen who perform safely and quickly, win! Top teams and apprentices will go on to compete in the 34th Annual International Lineman’s Rodeo in Kansas City.

Interested in participating as a competitor, judge or sponsor/vendor? Sign up by July 1 under the Registration tab.

Bring the kids

Besides the exciting linemen events, we’ll have a rock climbing wall, face painting, a prize wheel, a petting zoo, tool displays, free snow cones and more.

Plus, immediately following the competition, there’ll be a helicopter long-line demonstration you won’t want to miss.

Just show up and enjoy

No tickets or sign-up are required.

  • Admission is free.
  • Lunch is provided free of charge. Pick up lunch tickets at the registration booth.

We’re looking for (quite a) few good judges. If you are or have been a journeyman lineman, you qualify! Just complete the application by July 1. We’ll send you a confirmation email with event details and judges’ information.

Sponsors/Vendors

Reserve exhibit space at the Rodeo through a sponsorship: Bronze ($500), Silver ($1000) or Gold ($2000). The application deadline is July 1. Your sponsorship will help underwrite food, refreshments, kids’ activities and items for the Rodeo’s raffle. $500 from each Gold sponsorship will be awarded as a scholarship for the Northwest Lineman College. The scholarships will be presented during the awards ceremony with recognition of the donor.

In addition, if your company is a supplier of hand tools, lineman supplies, clothing or other items a lineman or attending families might enjoy, the committee would greatly appreciate your product donations for the raffle.
