PG&E is issuing the 2019 Distribution Investment Deferral Framework ("DIDF") Request for Offers ("RFO" or "Solicitation") to demonstrate the efficacy of distributed energy resources (DERs) provision of cost-effective electric distribution services, as required by California Public Utilities Commission ("CPUC") Decision 18-02-004 and approval of PG&E's Advice Letter 5435-E on February 5, 2019 via disposition letter.
There are three (3) locations for this RFO, which are distribution deferral opportunities located in PG&E’s planning area. PG&E is seeking to procure a minimum 10.6 MW over the three deferral locations.
The expected performance and operational requirements are located in the RFO Solicitation Protocol, Table 1 for the deferral opportunities. For each one of the Candidate Deferrals, all of the expected performance and operational requirements need to be met in order to defer the planned investment.
