Changes to INSIDEtracc in November, 2005 altered the way nomination processing handles the priority ranking that customers assign to their nominations, using source and destination rankings. California Gas Transmission published an article on November 22nd with an example to demonstrate one impact of the nomination processing rules. In short, under certain circumstances, a higher ranked As-Available, Market Center, or Pool to Pool nomination could be reduced before a lower ranked firm transportation nomination. This has impacted a limited number of customers.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers. CGT is working on an INSIDEtracc programming change that will prioritize nominations based on rankings designated by customers. To be successful, this system change requires time for preparation, programming, review and testing.
These programming changes are scheduled for implementation in late March, 2006. CGT is committed to providing assistance to customers with their nominations. Until these programming changes are implemented, customers who commonly rank nominations with firm transportation lower than other nominations are encouraged to contact the CGT Gas Scheduling group or a CGT Account Services Representative for possible interim solutions.
