Nominating Requirements for November 8

Friday, November 04, 2005

INSIDEtracc changes will be here before you know it. Along with these changes comes a unique nomination day, which will require customers to place unique nominations.

California Gas Transmission is making changes to INSIDEtracc Monday evening, November 7 to be effective Tuesday, November 8, 2005. As previously reported in a Pipe Ranger article, some pool codes and interconnect names are changing.

Since these changes are occurring mid-gas day, Timely and Evening cycle nominations for gas day November 8 will be processed using existing INSIDEtracc pool codes, and Intraday 1 and Intraday 2 nominations placed for gas day November 8 will be processed with the new INSIDEtracc pool codes.

Interconnect Pipeline Nominations

For Intraday 1 and Intraday 2 nominations for gas day November 8, continue to use CGT's existing pool and interconnect naming conventions. Do not submit or resubmit your nominations for gas day November 8 to interconnect pipelines with the new naming convention. This will ensure an easy one-to-one alignment of the downstream/upstream contract fields for gas day November 8.

All nominations starting on gas day November 9 must use the new naming convention for the downstream/upstream contract reference to PG&E. CGT recommends making these changes early on interconnecting pipeline systems for your standing nominations to ensure a smooth transition.

California Gas Transmission Nominations

Beginning Tuesday, November 8, all nominations placed through INSIDEtracc must use the new pool/interconnect naming conventions, beginning with Intraday 1 nominations placed for gas day November 8. Nominations previously placed in INSIDEtracc that reference modified pool or interconnect names will automatically be changed to the new naming conventions behind-the-scenes as part of this system implementation.

Customers importing nominations from a spreadsheet will need to modify their spreadsheet on calendar day Tuesday as follows:

  • Change nomination data to reflect new pool and interconnect naming conventions starting with Intraday 1 and 2 nominations imported for gas day November 8, and all nominations imported for gas day November 9 forward
  • Eliminate the "Track Nbr" column, which is no longer a valid field in INSIDEtracc

CGT is working together with our interconnecting pipelines to minimize any disruption to our customers. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your CGT Account Services Representative or our Gas Scheduling group at 1.800.343.4743.
