Pipe Ranger Offers Resources for Winter Preparation

Tuesday, March 29, 2005

As fall reaches toward winter, Pacific Gas and Electric Company's California Gas Transmission reminds you to reach for important winter readiness information now available on Pipe Ranger. If you transport, store, balance or nominate gas on PG&E's system, now is the time to prepare for the upcoming season by familiarizing yourself with these online resources:

  •  Getting Ready for Winter offers readiness tips for winter, suggesting actions to prepare you for the possibility of an extreme cold weather event. Freshly updated for 2004, Getting Ready for Winter outlines CGT's procedures for an Operational Flow Order (OFO), Emergency Flow Order (EFO), Involuntary Diversion, or Local Curtailment.
  • Although the Winter Wednesday Archive reviews News articles from winters past, these articles' information about CGT contacts and communications, weather, diversions, interconnects and balancing gas remains robust.

As the season unfolds, Pipe Ranger will bring you timely news of winter and its impacts on PG&E's gas pipeline system. Your CGT Account Services Representative is also available to answer your questions about moving gas during the winter season.
