As you plan your gas supply for the month of May, please remember the will arrive gas day May 1, 2004. Customers planning nominations to California Gas Transmission storage may wish to review Pipe Ranger's Shrinkage Factors and Calculating Shrinkage for the new rate, formulae and sample shrinkage calculations.

Shrinkage Detail Now Available in Offer Screens

Effective April 13, 2004, INSIDEtracc's offer screens now feature a new field, Current Shrinkage Rate. The field previously shown in INSIDEtracc, Shrinkage Rate, was available in transportation offers only and displayed only the shrinkage rate effective on the day of the inquiry.

INSIDEtracc now displays Current Shrinkage Rate for both transportation and storage offers. This new field displays the current shrinkage rate for the particular offer and also allows you to open a second screen that details all the shrinkage rates associated with the offer. Since most offers use standard shrinkage rates, this second screen will detail the standard shrinkage rate for the service, including historical and future rates and their effective dates. For offers negotiated at nonstandard shrinkage rates, the second, more detailed screen will show any shrinkage rate (or rates) associated with the particular offer.
