On December 18, 2003, the California Public Utilities Commission reaffirmed the Gas Accord market structure, continuing the fundamental nature of CGT's products and services through 2005 and providing two more years of certainty for the gas marketplace.
The CPUC decision on Gas Accord II -- 2004 also adopted several refinements to the current market structure, many of them effective January 1, 2004. Doing Business with CGT in 2004, now available from Pipe Ranger, outlines these improvements and provides customers the information needed to conduct business on CGT's system beginning January 1, 2004. CGT recommends that anyone moving natural gas in California take the time to learn about these refinements to the familiar market structure.
Thursday's CPUC decision also adopted backbone transmission and storage rates for 2004. Pipe Ranger's rates pages have now been updated to include these adopted rates-of particular interest to Extension and Open Season participants.
