Late yesterday, Administrative Law Judge John Wong issued a proposed decision (PD) on Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Gas Accord II -- 2004 Application. The PD, some 500 pages long, may be downloaded from the California Public Utilities Commission Web site. Following the thirty-day comment period, the CPUC may issue a final decision at its December 18, 2003, decision conference.

While only a final decision from the CPUC will approve the 2004 Extension and Open Season, the PD would generally adopt Pacific Gas and Electric Company's proposals for contracting into 2004. Anticipating a final CPUC decision consistent with the PD in this regard, Pacific Gas and Electric Company's California Gas Transmission will continue proceeding with the 2004 Extension and Open Season announced on October 13, 2003. Today CGT will mail eligible customers their formal offers to extend 2003 contracts into 2004, as outlined in the Preliminary Timeline.
