As another page of the calendar turns towards winter, California Gas Transmission offers several resources to prepare for the coming cold season. If you move, store, or balance gas on CGT's system, now is the time to prepare for winter. CGT offers the following resources to help:
Getting Ready for Winter offers readiness tips for winter, suggesting actions to prepare you for the possibility of an extreme cold weather event. It outlines CGT's procedures for an Operational Flow Order (OFO), Emergency Flow Order (EFO), Involuntary Diversion, or Local Curtailment. All CGT customers, balancing agents, core procurement groups, and Pacific Gas and Electric Company noncore end-use customers should be familiar with this information.
The Winter Wednesday Archive provides News articles from winters past, including invaluable information about CGT contacts and communications, weather, diversions, interconnects and balancing gas. The Winter Wednesday Archive, which also includes Getting Ready for Winter, is available in the Other Resources wing of the Pipe Ranger Library.
As the season unfolds, Pipe Ranger will bring you timely news of winter and its impacts on CGT's pipeline system. Your CGT Account Services Representative is also available to answer your questions about moving gas during the winter season.
