The newest interconnect to Pacific Gas and Electric Company's California Gas Transmission pipeline is expected to come online June 1, 2002. The Questar Southern Trails pipeline will connect to CGT's southern pipeline system, Line 300, just west of Topock near the town of Essex. Customers will soon be able to use Gold Coast Transportation and Golden Gate Market Center services to move gas on- or off-system at the Essex interconnect.
Customers will notice the new Essex interconnect point added to INSIDEtracc as early as May 15, along with new pools associated with the interconnect. Once INSIDEtracc is updated, nominations may be made to or from the new interconnect point for gas day June 1. Please keep in mind that June 1 is the currently targeted date for gas to flow at Essex. That target may change as the interconnect work progresses.
Watch Pipe Ranger for updated articles regarding the exact dates of service and details for nominating to or from the Essex interconnect. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact the CGT Gas Scheduling Group or a CGT Account Services Representative at 1.800.343.4743.
