New Year Reminders

Friday, March 25, 2005

As many of us return from holidays with family and friends, Pipe Ranger takes this opportunity to remind you of a few New Year happenings on California Gas Transmission's pipeline.

Pipeline Maintenance always shares the latest scoop on CGT's ongoing maintenance efforts. Notably, Redwood path capacity will be reduced to 1,776 MMcf through April due to the loss of the Gerber compressor station. Additional pipeline work during this time may reduce capacity further. Given this outage, a daily comparison of capacity to flows can be especially helpful. Forecast Redwood path flows are shown as PG&E-GT Northwest Interconnect Supply on the Supply and Demand Forecast page. CGT is working day and night to complete repairs at Gerber as quickly as possible.

And don't forget that pursuant to the Gas Accord, backbone transmission rates changed slightly effective January 1. Shrinkage rates also changed with the new year pursuant to the California Public Utilities Commission decision in Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Biennial Cost Allocation Proceeding (BCAP).

One thing that hasn't changed for 2002 is the CGT Helpline. Feel free to dial the toll-free number any time you have questions regarding CGT products and services.
