Let It Snow

Snow fell as low as 500 feet around the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend, dusting local peaks and closing a major South Bay commute artery. "I've been here fifteen years, and I've never seen this," marveled one local commuter.

Despite the rare white treat, Northern California temperatures stayed above Cold Winter Day levels. Additionally, shippers did an excellent job keeping supply up to demand over the weekend.

Cold Weather Continues

Although temperatures are forecast to rise slightly this week, strong demand on Pacific Gas and Electric Company's system will likely continue through Thursday. In addition to high demands, imbalance gas in storage has again fallen below zero, making pipeline balancing withdrawals unavailable. Pipe Ranger's System Inventory Status forecasts pipeline inventory below operating limits Wednesday and Thursday, indicating possible OFOs or EFOs.

Especially during this week's cold weather, each shipper's balancing efforts are critical to smooth pipeline operations. California Gas Transmission would like to thank our customers for their continued efforts maintaining balanced supply and demand.
