California Gas Transmission's current forecast for this weekend and early next week shows the mercury dropping substantially in Northern California. The current forecast calls for the coldest day on Monday. However, forecasts can change substantially in just a few days.

Although an Abnormal Peak Day (APD) is not forecast and is highly unlikely, temperatures approaching a Cold Winter Day (CWD) are possible in some areas. Local curtailments and/or diversions are not likely unless temperatures drop below CWD levels.

CGT asks gas suppliers to be ready for winter conditions this weekend and early next week by taking the following precautions:

• Keep an eye on Pipe Ranger and INSIDEtracc over the weekend. These are CGT's communication channels for news and information about cold weather events.
• Make sure your daily usage does not exceed supply.
• Refresh your knowledge of winter readiness procedures by reviewing Getting Ready for Winter.
• Be prepared to communicate with your customers over the weekend in the event of an OFO, EFO, diversion or local curtailment.
