Paths Tab

When first entering the Pipeline Information screen, you will notice that the Paths tab is pre-selected. A listing of all paths that are transportation options within PG&E's system is shown here. If you double-click on one of these paths, you will get a choice of all the receipt point - delivery point combinations that exist on that path. Double-click on one of these combinations and you will see the detail of the volumes flowing between that receipt point and that delivery point.

For example, if you choose the Redwood to Off-System path, the possible receipt point - delivery point combinations are as follow:

PG&E Northwest to El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline

PG&E Northwest to Kern River Pipeline

PG&E Northwest to SoCal Gas Pipeline

PG&E Northwest to Transwestern Pipeline

Behind the PG&E Northwest (PGN) to El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline (EPNG) selection, the following detailed information is available:

  • Receipt Nomination Volumes (Rcpt Nom Vol) is the sum of the nominated receipt volumes where the receipt point is PG&E Northwest (PGN) and the delivery point is El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline (EPNG) (these nominations require a Redwood to Off-System transportation exhibit).

  • Receipt Scheduled Volumes (Rcpt Sched Vol) is the sum of the scheduled receipt volumes where the receipt point is PGN and the delivery point is EPNG.

  • Delivery Nomination Volumes (Delv Nom Vol) is the sum of the nominated delivery volumes (adjusted for shrinkage) where the receipt point is PGN and the delivery point is EPNG (these nominations require a Redwood to Off-System transportation exhibit).

  • Delivery Scheduled Volumes (Delv Sched Vol) is the sum of the scheduled delivery volumes (adjusted for shrinkage) where the receipt point is PGN and the delivery point is EPNG.

Customers have asked for scheduled volumes, and this enhancement is now included. Now you will see nominated and scheduled (instead of confirmed) volumes.

Interconnects Tab

When the Interconnects tab on the Pipeline Information main screen is selected, a listing of all the interconnects with the PG&E system is shown. If you select one of these interconnects, for example, SoCal Gas Pipel. Interconnect, the detailed information represents the gas flowing through that particular interconnect. Here you will also see the enhancement of nominated and scheduled volumes. Interconnect volumes will reflect gas being received from or delivered to a particular interconnection point.

The following information is displayed:

Received Nomination Volumes (Rcvd Nom Vol) is the sum of the nominated volumes where the source is a Transportation Service Agreement (TSA) at SoCal (the amount of gas nominated for PG&E to receive from SoCal)

Received Scheduled Volumes (Rcvd Sched Vol) is the sum of the scheduled volumes where the source is a TSA at SoCal (the amount of gas scheduled for PG&E to receive from SoCal)

Delivered Nomination Volumes (Dlvrd Nom Vol) is the sum of the nominated volumes where the destination is a Downstream Delivery (DD) Pool at SoCal (the amount of gas nominated for PG&E to deliver to SoCal)

Delivered Scheduled Volumes (Dlvrd Sched Vol) is the sum of the scheduled volumes where the destination is a DD Pool at SoCal (the amount of gas confirmed for PG&E to deliver to SoCal)

The same protocol applies to the other interconnecting pipelines listed (El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline, Kern River Pipeline, PG&E Northwest, Transwestern Pipeline, and Wild Goose Storage interconnect).

For the other interconnects listed (California Production, Citygate, and PG&E Storage), the following protocol applies:

California Production - all gas nominated and scheduled from a California Meter.

Citygate - all gas nominated and scheduled to an end-use customer or a Core Aggregation account.

PG&E Storage

  • Received Nomination Volumes (Rcvd Noms Vol) represent the volumes nominated for receipt from PG&E storage (those volumes which are actually coming out of PG&E's storage field). This includes nominations for noncore end-use customers and core aggregation withdrawals from storage, lend nominations from all Market Center locations and unpark nominations from all Market Center locations.

  • Received Scheduled Volumes (Rcvd Sched Vol) represent the volumes scheduled for receipt from PG&E storage. Again, this includes noncore end-use customers and core aggregation withdrawals, lends from all Market Center locations and unparks from all Market Center locations.

  • Delivered Nomination Volumes (Dlvrd Nom Vol) represent the volumes nominated for delivery to PG&E storage (those volumes which are actually going into PG&E's storage field). This includes nominations for noncore end-use customers and core aggregation injections into storage, park nominations at all Market Center locations and repay nominations at all Market Center locations.

  • Delivered Scheduled Volumes (Dlvd Sched Vol) represent the volumes scheduled for delivery to PG&E storage. Again, this includes noncore end-use customers and core aggregation scheduled injections, scheduled parks at all Market Center locations and scheduled repays at all Market Center locations.

Please note that for each detailed screen, under both the Interconnect tab and the Path tab, five days of data are shown. For historical days (always the first two days shown), the scheduled numbers represent all nomination cycles for the given day. Volumes for the current day will depend on what time of the day you are accessing the data.

Included in these volumes are any upstream pipeline Scheduled numbers PG&E has received and processed, as well as any nominations that have been Validated and Matched by PG&E for nomination cycles that have not yet been scheduled. Likewise, for the two future days showing on the screen, the detail represents nominations that have been Validated and Matched by PG&E's scheduling group.

One more improvement: now when you print data from either the Interconnect or Path screens, the data will no longer wrap-around on your printout!

Compressors Tab

When the Compressors tab within the Pipeline Information Screens is selected, you will see a map of the PG&E system with all of PG&E's compressors identified by name. No detailed numerical information is displayed behind this map.

If you have any questions about this pipeline information, please contact your CGT Account Services Representative.
