Following California Public Utilities Commission approval on August 22, the California Gas Transmission Extension and Open Season is marching forward.
Today CGT mailed customers the following revised Extension and Open Season materials:
The Request for Firm Service is the official document that must be used to request capacity in the Open Season. This final version replaces the Pro Forma Request for Firm Service that CGT distributed on August 6. Similarly, the Extension and Open Season Timeline is an updated version of the August 6 Preliminary Timeline.
You may review or download any Extension and Open Season documents from Pipe Ranger's Extension and Open Season Index. The Index has been updated to include these final documents and a revised version of the Guide to the Extension and Open Season. The revised Guide and Timeline have simply been updated to reflect the CPUC's approval and a one-day extension of the deadline to return Extension offers to CGT.
With the Extension and Open Season timeline finalized, CGT has determined it will offer Open Season Redwood path expansion capacity with a term beginning November 1, 2002.
As scheduled, CGT mailed all eligible customers their Extension offers on August 27, 2002. Executed Extension offers must be returned to CGT's offices by September 12, 2002.
Today Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Utility Electric Generation Department (UEG) announced that it has no contracts to extend into 2003.
CGT has also added a Frequently Asked Questions section to the Extension and Open Season Index. Be sure to check Pipe Ranger frequently for additional answers to common questions about the Extension and Open Season. Of course a CGT Account Services Representative is also available to help.
