At PG&E, we pride ourselves in doing more than just a job – we strive to provide the best service to our customers and remain good neighbors to the communities in which we work and live. Diablo Canyon is no exception.
Tours of Diablo Canyon Power Plant are available to the public. If you are interested in requesting a tour please contact us at EnergyEducationCenter@pge.com or call 805-546-5280. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and depend on availability.
Interested visitors may also contact the Diablo Canyon Independent Safety Committee (DCISC) for information on tri-annual public tours that are offered in conjunction with DCISC public meetings. Please visit www.dcisc.org for more information.
Members of the public may also visit our Energy Education Center to see exhibits about plant operations, safety and how nuclear power is generated. Arrangements can be made in advance for a guided tour of the Center.
Thank you for your interest in learning more about Diablo Canyon.
Diablo Canyon Power Plant provides pedestrian hiking opportunities on specific coastal portions of its property. Through its Land Stewardship Program, PG&E has preserved these areas, providing examples of the Central Coast in its natural, open space context.
In order to maintain the natural setting, hiking is allowed by a combined reservation system and first come, first serve basis. It is highly recommended that hikers secure reservations and bring a signed waiver on the day of their hike, as daily walk-up hikers will not be guaranteed entrance. Visit our reservations website for more information about hiking these trails and to make reservations.
