Some tried-and-true agricultural practices don't need improvements or adjustments. But when it comes to your equipment, upgrading to new, energy-efficient models can mean big benefits. Saving money is just one of them. With PG&E's Energy Efficiency Financing program, you can make improvements with zero-interest, zero penalty loans!

With PG&E Energy Efficiency Financing, also called On-Bill Financing (OBF), your farm can take advantage of interest-free loans between $5,000 and $250,000 per location. Repayment is simple—just pay through your monthly PG&E energy bill. You can use this program to upgrade or replace outdated equipment without paying any interest, and there are no early repayment penalties if you decide to pay off your loan ahead of schedule.

Need more funding? Projects that don't include incentives may qualify for up to $400,000, and with an approved budget exception, you could receive up to $6,000,000 per location.* For all the details, check out the OBF webpage.

To get started, all you need is a PG&E non-residential account that’s been active for at least two years and has a good 12-month payment history.

What projects could you complete with Energy Efficiency Financing?

Take a look at these smart options for agricultural customers:

• Irrigation pump VFD's – variable frequency drives control water flow to satisfy your crops' water needs while saving energy and can reduce wear and tear on your irrigation system.
• Refrigeration walk-in cooler upgrades – EC motors and fan controllers reduce energy costs and improve equipment operational efficiency up to two thirds.
• VFD for Process Fan or Blower – enables equipment to last longer, run more quietly, and need less maintenance by matching fan speed to process requirements, providing soft start, and cooler operation of equipment.

You can upgrade equipment and take advantage of PG&E's 0% loans through the Agriculture Energy Action Plan Program. This PG&E program is implemented and managed by TRC Companies and offers comprehensive support, technical assistance, and flexible incentives to offset costs of your energy efficiency project.
