PG&E will be performing scheduled maintenance on its Los Medanos storage facility from July 1 through August 10, 2026. During this period, available firm injection capacity may range from 0-90 MMcf/day.
This maintenance is necessary to ensure the long-term integrity and reliability of the storage facility. While the work is underway, PG&E’s ability to utilize storage injections for daily pipeline balancing may be significantly limited to manage shipper over-deliveries.
To maintain safe and reliable operating conditions across the system, PG&E strongly encourages all shippers to:
- Balance supply and demand daily. Work to ensure that supplies brought in for your customers balance with their daily demands.
- Keep an eye on the System Inventory Status information posted on Pipe Ranger.
Failure to maintain balance could result in the increased likelihood of high inventory Operational Flow Orders (OFOs) and, if necessary, PG&E may be required to reduce backbone receipt point capacity to protect overall system integrity.
We appreciate shippers’ cooperation and proactive management during this time to help ensure uninterrupted service.
