Read on for a sneak peek at what’s coming your way soon!
Before we tour the new site, we’d like to highlight the new header navigation bar. A large focus of this redesign was to introduce more intuitive and easier navigation. This means that the new header navigation bar will scroll with you so everything will be more easily accessible to you no matter where you find yourself within the new Pipe Ranger experience.
The new header navigation also highlights and brings forward key areas we feel users would find helpful:
Additionally, we are introducing a much better search functionality that should:
Everything else in the navigation should feel familiar and take you to the same pages and sections you experienced previously. With these changes, we wanted to make sure users will always find the information they need from anywhere on the site.
Another focus of this redesign was to make Pipe Ranger modern and accessible but also familiar. The focus on accessibility for this redesign ensures that everyone can fully interact with and navigate the new site. With a larger font standard, a user should now be able to more easily read and consume the information.
When you first visit the new homepage, you’ll notice that it has a much cleaner aesthetic, but you will also notice that it has all of the same information that existed on the previous site including OFO/EFO Outlook, System Inventory Status, Physical Pipeline Capacity, Interactive Map, etc. We think you’ll love the new experience.
Similar to the homepage, the Current Pipeline Status page has all the same information you would expect to see. The difference now is we have better navigation with our new “Jump to” functionality. The left side of the page will scroll with you as you move up and down the page highlighting the section you’re currentlyviewing. If you want to move to another section, simply click on any “Jump to” link and it’ll auto scroll you to that section.
Additionally, the blue subnavigation bar will scroll with the user as well providing them easy access to related pages.
These navigation options can be found throughout the new site bubbling up related links and pages to the user so they can more easily navigate to the information they need.
This redesign is not just about aesthetics. As mentioned, it’s a complete overhaul aimed at enhancing a user’s experience and accessibility. We’re now introducing a responsive layout that adapts seamlessly to any device, be it desktop, tablet or mobile making this site much easier to interact with regardless of what device you use.
We invite you to explore the new Pipe Ranger and discover the enhanced experience for yourself once we launch the new site on Wednesday, December 20, 2023!
