Limited Nominations at Ruby Interconnect for Gas Day July 11th

Date: July 07, 2023

As recently posted, on gas day Tuesday, July 11, 2023, Ruby will be performing a systemwide maintenance. Operating capacity at all locations and through all segments systemwide will be restricted to 0 MDth/d for cycles 1 through 4. As such, this Ruby maintenance will cause delayed flows at the Ruby-CGT interconnect (Onyx Hill).

When confirming gas for the Intraday 3 (ID3) nomination cycle, CGT will be limited based on the following three factors:

  • The total capacity available on the Redwood Path
  • The amount of gas that CGT has previously scheduled to flow from Gas Transmission Northwest at Malin during the first four nomination cycles
  • The fact that, for ID3, there are only 11 hours of flow time remaining in the gas day

Ruby is not expecting this outage to impact their shippers; however, based on current expectations of the three factors above and the planned maintenance on the Redwood Path, CGT forecasts that we may be able to take deliveries in a range between 180 MMcf and 210 MMcf which is less than Ruby’s stated capacity. CGT's forecast for gas deliveries that CGT can take at Onyx Hill for ID3 will be better known after the Timely cycle for gas day July 11th has been processed.
