Topock and Hinkley Station Shutdowns on November 19

Tuesday, November 12, 2019

PG&E's California Gas Transmission has maintenance scheduled for the Topock and Hinkley Compressor Stations on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. This maintenance will require the compressor stations to be fully shut down for approximately 12-20 hours, starting at 5:00 a.m., Pacific Time.

This will have an impact on Baja Path interconnects during the shutdown period. Once the Compressor Stations are shut down no further gas will be able to enter the CGT system at the Transwestern interconnect at Topock North and the El Paso Natural Gas interconnect at Topock South for the duration of the outage.

During this same time period, deliveries to PG&E at KRGT’s High Desert Lateral at Freemont Peak will be available.

From a nomination confirmation perspective, for the Timely, Evening, Intraday 1, and Intraday 2 cycles for gas day November 19, a constraint of zero will be set at Topock, Hinkley and the impacted interconnects stated above. The affected constraints will be changed to prorated capacities for the Intraday 3 cycle if service is expected to be restored for the remaining of the gas day.

All impacts on the Baja Path capacity, as well as the impacts on all of the Baja Path interconnects, are posted on the Pipeline Maintenance News page.
