2019 GT&S Rate Case Final Decision Issued

On September 12, 2019, the CPUC approved D.19-09-025, Decision Authorizing PG&E’s 2019-2022 Revenue Requirement for Gas Transmission and Storage Service. As ordered in D.19-09-025, PG&E will be updating the gas transportation rates effective October 1, 2019. The details of the Open Season for available Redwood and Baja on-system capacity will be posted soon. A link is now available to the Final Decision document from the CPUC.

The table below summarizes the Final Decision firm backbone transmission rates ($/Dth@Full Contract), for 2019 through 2022, consistent with Appendix H of D.19-09-025 (pp 388-415). Notes:

  • The rates shown are the combined reservation and usage charges for a shipper that uses its contract at 100% load factor.
  • Firm seasonal rates are 120 percent of Firm Annual rates. 
  • Firm seasonal service is available to on-system paths for a minimum term of 3 consecutive months in one season. Winter season is November through March and Summer season is April through October.

On Thursday, September 12, 2019, the CPUC approved the Final Decision (FD) for PG&E’s 2019 Gas Transmission and Storage (GT&S) Application (A.17-11-009). The decision adopted a four-year rate case period: 2019-2022. This decision finalized the authorized revenue requirements for 2019-2022. We will share the CPUC Final Decision link once it is available. New rates will be effective October 1, 2019. Within the coming days, CGT will post the backbone transportation final rates and the details of the Open Season for available Redwood and Baja on-system capacity.
