Abnormal Peak Day Window Closed

Monday, March 05, 2018

PG&E’s California Gas Transmission would like to inform you that our Abnormal Peak Day (APD) window is now closed. It is now unlikely that a system composite temperature will fall below 28 degrees Fahrenheit.

What does this mean?

  • The probability of an APD prior to next winter is nearly zero.
  • The chances that Cold Winter Day (CWD) conditions will strike this winter are greatly reduced. Accordingly, local curtailments or diversions driven by cold weather are less likely -- although still possible.
  • For more information on APDs and Winter Planning, please refer to our Getting Ready for Winter document.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your CGT Account Manager.
