INSIDEtracc Gas Transaction Changes for El Paso Pipeline Nominations

Thursday, September 14, 2017

California Gas Transmission (CGT) customers who move gas onto our pipeline at Topock from El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline (EPNG) will need to change the way they nominate on INSIDEtracc effective for gas day October 1, 2017. These changes are required due to a new gas transaction system, "DART," being implemented by EPNG.

Currently, EPNG and CGT match nominations on two fields - Source ID and Dest ID. Beginning on gas day October 1, the Source ID and the Dest ID must be the following:

  • Source ID - The 9-digit DUNS number (including any leading zeroes) in DART's Serv Req ID field will be your Source ID in INSIDEtracc.
  • Dest ID - The contents of the DN Contract field in DART will be your Dest ID in INSIDEtracc. This is typically a TS pool, but may also be a park or lend contract, or even an off-system TSA.

CGT will pre-load current EPNG shipper DUNS numbers into INSIDEtracc as TSA’s so they will be available for use as Source ID’s in your nominations by October 1. If, however, you find that your desired DUNS number is not listed as a TSA in INSIDEtracc, please reach out to the CGT Scheduling team and we can walk you through the process of creating a new TSA from that DUNS number.

If you have any questions about your INSIDEtracc nominations and these new changes required to nominate gas from EPNG to CGT, please contact our Gas Scheduling team at 800-343-4743 or via IM at CGTScheduling1.
