Old INSIDEtracc Screen Being Retired

Tuesday, November 15, 2016

Three years ago, PG&E’s California Gas Transmission implemented ranking functionality into INSIDEtracc. At that time, CGT also debuted the Query Nomination Details (“QND”) screen. This screen can be found on the Nominations drop down menu, right under Manual Input.

The QND screen provides you with a “one-stop shop” for managing your nominations once they’ve been processed. Some of the features of this powerful screen include:

  • Querying by “location” to see all your nominations at a location, regardless of whether the source or destination is a pool, a TSA or a park or lend contract
  • Suppressing, by default, all nominations with a zero volume (although the user can turn this off if they want to see all their noms).
  • Ability to quickly add a nomination or two by clicking on either the Manual Input button or the Import button
  • Two different view options: View Details and View by Cycle
  • With the View Details tab, you have the ability to see the service level (Firm vs AA) of a transportation contract
  • With the View Details tab you retain the ability to click on the Action icon to navigate to the Replace Volume or Rank screen where you can see cut messages, increase or decrease volumes, change ranks, and see the history of any increases or decreases
  • When querying a pool with the View Details tab, you have the ability to see BOTH the incoming and outgoing nominations in one view, whereas with the Query/Replace Processed Noms screen you need to perform two separate queries - one with the pool or contract as the source and then another with the pool or contract as the destination
  • With the View by Cycle tab, if you query a pool or contract, you have the ability to see the history of those nominations across ALL cycles

In one month from now, on December 13, CGT will be retiring the Query/Replace Processed Noms screen. We believe the QND screen provides much better functionality and the Query/Replace Processed Noms screen has not been updated in the last three years, and therefore is not keeping up with the times!

If you are not familiar with the QND screen and would like some help with the transition off of the old screen, please give us a call at 800.343.4743. We’d love to help you become a QND Screen fan too!
