PG&E's California Gas Transmission has maintenance scheduled for the Hinkley Compressor Station on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. This maintenance will require the compressor station and the pipeline upstream of the station, to be totally shut down for approximately twelve hours, starting at 7:00 a.m., Pacific Time.

This will have an impact on Baja Path interconnects during the shutdown period. Once the Hinkley Compressor Station and the pipeline are shut down and the pipeline is at maximum pressure, no further gas will be able to enter the CGT system at the Transwestern interconnect at Topock North, the El Paso Natural Gas interconnect at Topock South, the Questar - Southern Trails interconnect at Essex and the Kern River Gas Transmission (KRGT) interconnect at Daggett for the duration of the outage.

During this same time period, gas flowing off-system at Kern River Station and at KRGT's High Desert Lateral at Freemont Peak will also be reduced. However, there will be no reduction on gas coming into the CGT system from KRGT's High Desert Lateral at Freemont Peak.

From a nomination confirmation perspective, for the Timely, Evening and Intraday 1 cycles for gas day November 8, a constraint of zero will be set at Hinkley and the impacted interconnects stated above. The affected constraints will be changed to prorated capacities for Intraday 2 and Intraday 3 cycles for gas day November 8.

Please refer to the Capacity Impacts at Kettleman or Hinkley map to better understand the situation. All impacts on the Baja Path capacity, as well as the impacts on all of the Baja Path interconnects, are posted on the Pipeline Maintenance News page.

Please contact your CGT Sales Representative, Scheduling Representative, or Account Manager if you have questions.
