PG&E’s California Gas Transmission is excited to inform you of two awesome improvements to INSIDEtracc. What’s even more exciting? These improvements will be available starting tomorrow morning, October 21, 2015!

Cut Codes Nom-01 and Nom-02

Our first improvement will reveal additional information to anyone who experiences cut codes Nom-01 or Nom-02. As a quick refresher, cut code Nom-01 occurs whenever there are two different volumes input for a two-party nomination. Currently, INSIDEtracc confirms the lesser of the two volumes resulting in a lower volume than may have been anticipated by one of the parties.

Cut code Nom-02 occurs when, during a two-party nomination, only one party inputs a nomination OR if the nominations do not match on one of the attributes other than volume. Currently, the only indication INSIDEtracc gives that either of these cuts occurred is in the Replace Volume or Rank screen and the 100 and 110 reports; however, the unconfirmed volumes never appeared as cuts.

With this new update, you will now see these cut codes when one of these cuts occur as well as the volume of that cut. We believe this new information will help you more easily identify any misunderstandings with your counterparty. Nom-01 and Nom-02-related cut information will be easily accessible and readily available to you in the following areas:

  • The 100 and 110 reports
  • The Query / Nomination Details screen
  • The Query / Replace Processed Nom screen
  • The Replace Volume or Rank screen
  • Via e-mail in the Cut Report

Visual Countdown Timer

Our second improvement will clearly display how much time you have remaining before being logged out of INSIDEtracc. Currently, INSIDEtracc users are logged out after two hours. Before today, however, it was difficult to know how much time you had left. We have remedied that by adding a new visual countdown timer! Now, with a timer on the screen, you will know exactly how much time remains before INSIDEtracc logs you out.

In addition to the timer, with 20 minutes remaining and again with 2 minutes remaining, two separate pop-up notifications will appear to alert you. We hope the visual timer and warnings will help you avoid unwelcome interruptions while working with INSIDEtracc.

If you have any questions about these changes, please do not hesitate to reach out to the CGT Gas Scheduling team or your CGT Account Manager. Also, watch for the bright red “10” target icon on our Pipe Ranger news articles. This is our way of letting you know that CGT is working hard to improve our systems and keep you a satisfied customer!
