Ruby Planned Maintenance Impact for Gas Day September 16

Wednesday, September 03, 2014

Updated: Based on CGT's most recent assessment of current conditions, we are anticipating that the volume we can confirm and schedule for ID2 for gas day September 16 from Ruby Pipeline will be closer to the lower end of the previously predicted range of 300,000 to 450,000 Dths.

---Original message September 3, 12:02 p.m.---

Ruby Pipeline has announced that it will be performing its annual DOT Emergency Shutdown Test on gas day September 16, 2014 at its Roberson Compressor Station. This will cause Ruby to schedule zero volumes for the first three nomination cycles for that gas day at its Onyx Hill interconnect. For the final nomination cycle (Intraday 2) for September 16, Ruby has indicated that they will have a "nomination limit of 730 MMscf/day."

PG&E's California Gas Transmission will be limited to what it can confirm and schedule for the Intraday 2 cycle for gas day September 16 at the Ruby Onyx Hill interconnect based on the following three factors:

  1. The total capacity available on the Redwood Path.
  2. The amount of gas that CGT has previously scheduled to flow from Gas Transmission Northwest at Malin during the first three nominations cycles.
  3. The fact that, for Intraday 2, there are only 12 hours of flow remaining in the gas day.

Based on current expectations of those three factors for gas day September 16, CGT's current forecast for ID2 capacity at the Onyx Hill interconnect is a range between 300,000 Dths and 450,000 Dths.

This forecast can be more closely estimated after the Timely cycle for gas day September 16 has been processed.
