Forest Fires in Northern California

Monday, August 04, 2014

Updated: Although not 100% contained, the forest fires burning near the Burney Compressor Station are well in hand at this time. We believe that the danger to the compressor station has abated. We therefore do not anticipate a reduction in the Redwood Path capacity because of the fire situation.

Currently, there are multiple forest fires burning in northern California. Some fire activity is in close proximity to PG&E California Gas Transmission's Burney Compressor Station. Although the compressor station is not impacted at this time, it may become necessary to shut down the station with no notice. If that happens, we will experience a reduction in Redwood Path capacity, likely to approximately 93% of full capacity.

We will inform you as conditions change.
