Reduction in Pressure on the Baja Path

Friday, September 20, 2013

PG&E's California Gas Transmission is implementing a pressure reduction on the Baja Path, starting the week of September 23, 2013. The pressure reduction is necessary due to a revised class qualification of portions of Line 300. This action is being taken to ensure the continued safe operation of our pipeline system.

For the remainder of September and through October 2013, CGT is projecting that the maximum available capacity on the Baja Path will be 914 MMcf/day. Starting on November 1, the winter maximum available capacity on the Baja Path will be 847 MMcf/day.

We are currently evaluating possible mitigation alternatives. At this time we do not have an estimate of when the pressure will be restored. We will bring you additional details here on Pipe Ranger as quickly as they become available.

Please contact your CGT Representative if you have questions.
