The heat wave experienced over this past weekend in California Gas Transmission's service territory is expected to continue through the week. The Redwood path continues to experience more capacity demand than there is capacity available. We will need to continue allocation of the Redwood path and withdrawals from independent storage providers, per gas Rule 14 for Intraday 1 and Intraday 2 processes for today's gas day. All indications are that we will need to continue allocations for tomorrow's gas day as well.

The situation of having to reduce gas flowing on the Redwood path at the same time that CGT has had to call a low inventory OFO for today's gas day is very unusual. The situation is caused by increased demand in PG&E's service territory due to the current heat wave. This is coupled with current financial preference of the Redwood path causing higher capacity demand than there is capacity available.

Capacity continues to be available on the Baja path.

We ask customers to pay increased attention to matching supply to usage in order to minimize imbalances during this time.
