With the recent deployment of new functionality in PG&E California Gas Transmission's INSIDEtracc system, CGT now has the technological capability of calling asymmetrical High/Low OFOs when pipeline conditions allow.

Since early July, CGT has routinely been calling High/Low OFOs which are symmetrical; i.e., the tolerance band and noncompliance charge on the high inventory side is the same as the tolerance band and noncompliance charge on the low inventory side.

For the past three months, we've been working behind the scenes to complete the IT systems work to be able to call and bill asymmetrical High/Low OFOs. This would be a High/Low OFO for which the tolerance band and noncompliance charge on the high inventory side could be completely different than the tolerance band and noncompliance charge on the low inventory side. Our objective in creating this functionality is to have another tool in our tool belt to ease the burden on customers as we move through this prolonged time of reduced pressures due to pipeline safety work.

As we head into fall and winter, demand and supply patterns are beginning to change. PG&E may utilize this new ability to call asymmetrical OFOs starting as early as this week, if needed. Please continue to balance supply and demand on a daily basis.
